Our Story

It all started, as many great things do, with a group of friends, a few bottles of wine, and a simple question: "Which one is actually the best?" We loved exploring new wines but found that the price tag or a fancy label didn't always guarantee a great experience.

We wanted a fun, unbiased way to challenge our own palates and discover hidden gems without breaking the bank. That's how VinoVerdict was born. It's our answer to the 'Wall of Wine'—a tool to turn a simple get-together into an evening of laughter, learning, and lively debate.

Our Mission

Our mission is to demystify the world of wine and make it more accessible, interactive, and fun for everyone. We believe that the best way to learn about wine is by tasting it, and the best way to taste it is with friends.

At the core, the idea is to find the 'best bang for the buck', directly challenging the mantra that more 'expensiver' means more 'betterer'. In this way we find some Bargain Beauties that might not have been explored otherwise.

We're here to provide a platform that encourages curiosity, sparks conversation, and helps you discover your next favourite bottle - no matter the price. Cheers to uncorking the fun!

From Local to Global

As amateur sommeliers, this app allows us to do all of this remotely. The same bottle of Chablis or Merlot bought from a local supermarket can be shared and virtually tasted between friends from anywhere in the world! Of course, it's always better together around a candlelit dinner or in front of a cozy fireplace, but that shouldn't stop the fun, or the vitally-important, semi-professional wine discovery.

Up the Stakes

Want to add a little friendly competition? Add a 'Buy In' for your event! Each person can throw €2.00 (or any amount) into the pot, and the winner takes all.

You could also split the prize between the best overall wine and the "Best Value" winner to reward both taste and thriftiness. It's a great way to make the final reveal even more dramatic!
